Horrible

Training for a half marathon is hard! I did two GREAT runs last week. I went 1.5 miles (all running) on Wednesday and then on Friday I went 2.5 miles running and .5 miles fast walking. Today.... I sucked. I went 1.75 miles and could barely run. It was over a 15 minute mile! Ugh I am so discouraged today. Jamie kept telling me every run can't be a good run but I wish it could be!

15 Pounds!

Sooooooo Friday I hit the 15 pound mark. I am so excited! I put on my skinny skinny jeans as opposed to my fat skinny jeans which I have been living in and my muffin top wasn't as big! yayyy then I put on my fat skinny jeans and I didn't have any muffin top. YAYYYY SO I'm finally starting to see progress lets party!

Healthy Competition

So Jessica and I have decided to have a little competition to see who can lose the most weight before I go home in June for Carmen's graduation. We have similar body types and similar goals. We aren't both skinny people saying "I really want to lose five pounds" (read that in the voice of Regina George from Mean Girls) Although JHack does have the advantage with her personal trainer.

Our Goal: As much as HEALTHILY possible

What we win: Double the weight loss in gifts (so if I lose 10 then I get 20 in gifts)

I'm excited because I lose interest in losing weight quickly...AND I hate working out. But now I have to or I get a lame gift. :-)

I'm back!-Jess

I'm excited about blogging again! Especially about the weight I have been starting to lose.
So far I have lost eleven pounds.. well I guess i gained three back on vacation but I'm getting back down!
So right now...

I guess the numbers don't really matter as much as how I feel in my body and how healthy I am. I just want to be the best me I can be!
I am excited to be competing with Addie to see who can lose more weight by the time she comes to visit. I believe this time we will be able to actually succeed in our goals. We both have My Fitness Plan so we are constantly tracking our exercise and what we eat.

I'm seeing a personal trainer who has been kicking my butt when we meet. She is also helping me with work outs I can succeed at when I'm not meeting her. Today I went to an Abs class that was circuit training style... The moment I walked in I could tell it was circuit style and I wanted to run out the door.. however I gave it a shot and loved every minuet of it and now I'm completely sore. '

I'm excited for the outcomes down the road, cause obviously it took me time to get to this weight, it's going to take some time to get it off!

Ten pounds down!

Just want to brag to everyone I am ten pounds down! I am so close to making my mom pay for everything at Disney! The next goal is 20 (from today so a total of 30 by May 31!) I think I can do it and it will be soooo amazing when I finally do. I realized today I have like 72 more to go to get to my healthy BMI but that's okay it's better than what I started with.

MyFitnessPal

I decided to start counting calories and it's helped a lot. I have lost 6 pounds so far..well as of Friday so maybe more by now. I'm just being more cautious about what I eat and not stuffing myself full. It's been hard at times (like at school late at night when I feel the need to eat to stay awake) but it's also been really rewarding...
What spiked my sudden interest in weight loss?
Well my mom and I made an agreement that if I lost 15 pounds by April 19 (when we go to DisneyLand) she will pay for all my food in the park... she was probably smart making this decision because after losing the weight I HOPE I'm not going to binge out on delicious curros or eat frozen lemonade.... I hope at least hahaha I WILL be getting one of the salads from the mexian restaurant in adventureland though, those things are delicious and HUGE.
So 6 pounds in two weeks. I have five an a half weeks before the official weigh in. I think I can lose more than 15. Do you?
